Queer Ski Week: 1–7 September Schedule

Monday, 1 September: Arrival & Mountain Warm-up

  • 09:00 – 13:00: Check into your accommodation, sort lift passes, and secure rental gear.

  • 13:00 – 16:30: Hit the afternoon slopes for low-stakes warm-up laps on Wombats Ramble to stretch your ski legs.

  • 16:30 – 19:00Welcome Après-Ski Meetup. Head to the Frying Pan Inn for a casual drink to spot other members of the community.

  • 19:30 onwards: dinner at Cock & Bull to fuel up for the week ahead. 

Tuesday, 2 September: Social Skiing & Pizza Night

  • 09:00 – 12:30: Form a social "ski bubble" with friends at the main lift base. Explore the mid-mountain blue runs together.

  • 12:30 – 13:30: Group lunch at Cloud 9 (top of the Halley's Comet chairlift) for great views and high energy.

  • 13:30 – 16:00: Afternoon cruise through the Sun Valley tracks.

  • 16:00 – 18:00: Unwind at The Last Hoot for a casual pub après session.

  • 19:30 onwards: DIY board game night at the Hoot. 

Wednesday, 3 September:Retro Ski Day & Night Skiing (maybe a pool party at lunch :P TBC)

  • 09:30 – 13:00Retro Snow Day. Bust out your brightest neon onesies, vintage ski gear, or rainbow accessories for a highly visible day on the slopes.

  • 13:00 – 14:30: TBC pool party

  • 14:30 – 16:00: Group photo session at the top of the mountain in your retro gear.

  • 19:30 – 21:30Night Skiing. Head back out to ride under the lights on Wombat’s Ramble (weather permitting). 

Thursday, 4 September: Hot Peak Shred & Cocktails

  • 08:30 – 12:00: Catch the early lifts to conquer the advanced terrain on Ruined Castle or the Orchard.

  • 12:30 – 13:30: Quick ski-in, ski-out bite to eat in the village bowls.

  • 13:30 – 16:00: Soft, slushy spring snow afternoon laps.

  • 16:30 – 19:30Community Cocktail Hour. Gather for drinks and a makeshift mid-week social hour at Someplace Else or St Falls Resort.

Friday, 5 September: Spa Day & Village Après

  • 09:00 – 12:00: Fast morning groomer laps while the corduroy is fresh.

  • 12:00 – 15:00Alpine Recovery. Book a massage or a hot tub session at Astra Falls Creek to soothe sore muscles.

  • 16:00 – 19:00Friday Night Warm-Up. Grab drinks at The Powderkeg to kick off the unofficial weekend crowd arrival. 

Saturday, 6 September: The DIY Rainbow Run & Dinner

  • 09:30 – 12:30: Big group ride. Coordinate with other queer skiers to meet at a designated chairlift base.

  • 13:00 – 14:00: Casual lunch at Cloud 9.

  • 14:30 – 15:30The Official Rainbow Run. Band together with everyone on the mountain in your most colourful pride gear for a synchronised, flag-waving descent down Wombats Ramble.

  • 16:00 – 19:00Peak Après Celebration. Celebrate a successful week with drinks, music, and socialising at Powder Keg.

  • 20:00 onwards: Final group dinner at Cock And Bull to share favourite stories from the week. 

Sunday, 7 September: Farewell Laps & Departure

  • 09:00 – 12:00: Farewell "Last Tracks" morning run to hit your favourite areas of the resort one last time.

  • 12:00 – 13:30: Final crew lunch in the village to swap contact details.

  • 14:00 onwards: Party on the sun deck for apres at Powder keg .

  • Browse the mountain to find the one that feels right for you. We host events in all different locations over the mountain.

  • Sign up and pay all required fees to reserve your spot. If plans change, you can cancel up to 14 days before the retreat start to receive a 50% refund.

  • After booking, we'll send you a Welcome Packet with everything you need to know—detailed schedules, packing list recommendations, add-ons to consider, and more.

  • We'd recommend booking your transportation to and from the event as soon as possible, to ensure you can arrive without any complications or delays.

  • Now all that's left to do is pack your bags and get excited for your new adventure.
